Team Neutrino made the long trek to St. Louis, Missouri to compete in the second FIRST Championship from April 26-29. We competed in the Darwin Division against 68 other teams. We played in qualification matches 8, 14, 30, 38, 47, 60, 69, 84, 95, and 111. The competition was stiff, but we still came out of qualification matches with 6 wins, only 3 losses, and a tie. We ranked 11 and were the first pick by the number 8 seeded alliance, led by #1506 Metal Muscle, for playoffs. We also partnered with #4391 BraveBots and #3277 ProDigi. In an intense round of quarterfinals we were eliminated after two rounds with the number one seeded alliance.
While the team worked hard on the field, our Chairman’s team prepared equally diligently to compete for the Chairman’s award at Champs. Having won the Chairman’s award at the Minnesota North Star Regional, our team was very excited to present on Friday the 28th!
This competition was a valuable experience for the team; we had the opportunity to meet new people, visit workshops to improve our team and learn new techniques, and we had a fantastic time. Thank you to all the sponsors, mentors, and parents that make this possible for us! This is truly an investment for our futures, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
