Quantitative Data Table

Autonomous Mode

  • My robot set (did the robot you’re scouting get their robot into the zone?) Mark Y for yes, N for no, and A for attempted but failed)
  • My tote set (did the robot you’re scouting get their tote into the zone? Mark Y for yes, N for no, and A for attempted but failed). Circle it if it was a stacked tote set.)
  • My container set (did the robot you’re scouting get their container into the zone? Mark Y for yes, N for no, and A for attempted but failed)
  • middle containers (how many containers did the robot collect from the center of the field? Mark number of collected OR A(x), where x is the number attempted but failed, OR N for not attempted)

Teleoperated Mode

  • successful feed (tally the successful human loads from the feeder station)
  • missed feed (tally the unsuccessful human loads from the feeder station)
  • floor pickups (tally the times the robot picked up totes from the floor. Does not include human loading; does not include container pick-ups)
  • drops (tally the times the robot dropped totes/containers/litter, or knocked over their own stack)
  • scored grey totes (tally for each tote the robot scored)
  • scored containers (instead of tallies, write the numeral for each container height that the robot you’re scouting placed it at. e.g., you might end up with 4226, which would mean that your containers were placed at levels 4, 2, 2, and 6. If no stacking = 0. If attempted stacking but failed = A(X), where X= the number of times you attempted but failed.)
  • tallest stack height (what was the height of their tallest TOTE in a stack? If no stacking=0)
  • litter in container (how many pool noodles did the robot score)
  • landfill zone litter (how many litters did the robot move into the landfill zone?)
  • unprocessed litter (how many litters did the team’s human player successfully toss into the opposing alliance’s unprocessed zone?)

Coopertition

  • yellow totes (tally the number of yellow totes the team stacked on the step)

Post Game

  • My fouls (write the number of foul the robot committed, i.e. G12. If you don’t know the name of the foul, just write foul points and circle it)
  • My alliance score (self-explanatory)
  • My opponent’s score (self-explanatory)
  • Initial (sign your initials in case there is a question later for something you marked)

Pit Scouting

Start with, “Hi, my name is __,
and I’m from Team Neutrino. Can I ask you a few questions about your robot?”

Table on the Right: Top

  • Wheel type (what kind of wheels does the robot have? How many wheels on the drive train?)
  • Drive train (what kind of drive train does the robot have? How many CIM motors are on the drive train?)
  • Speed (what is the speed of the robot in feet per second? If there is a high and low speed, indicate that.)
  • Height range (how tall is the robot? If the team doesn’t know, see if they have a tape measure.)
  • Weight (how much does the robot weigh, not including battery, in lbs? If the team doesn’t know, put “IDK.”) DO NOT GUESS!

Table on the Right: Bottom

  • Human load
    • Totes (can the robot get totes from the right (R) and/or left (L) station? Circle the R and/or L if so. If not, circle N.
    • Litter (can the robot get litter from the feeder station? Yes or no.)
  • Stacking
    • Totes (how many totes can the robot stack? Circle the numbers up to the max height, in totes. For example, you’d have 01234 if the robot could only stack up to 4 totes on top of each other.)
    • Containers (what’s the most totes the robot can stack a container on top of? For example, you’d have 0123 if the robot could put a container on top of a stack of 1, 2, or 3 totes.
    • Litter (can the robot make a stack with a litter?)
  • Floor pickup (can the robot pick up totes and/or containers from the floor? Can the robot shove litter around?)

Notes

  • Autonomous (what’s the team’s autonomous strategy? If more than one, outline each strategy.)
  • Tele-operated (what’s the team’s tele-operated strategy? Check the box next to the platforms the team can stack on top of, and circle the one they prefer. Write the numbers for the qualification matches they actually end up stacking on the respective platform(s).)
  • T-shirt color (what’s the team’s t-shirt color? Used to help recognize human player.)
  • Friday night statistics (fill these out at the scouting meeting.)

Diagram

  • Start auton (where does the team prefer to start autonomous mode? Indicate by circling the area. If no preference, write “no pref.”
