On Saturday, Jan. 6th, Team Neutrino had it’s annual kickoff meeting, signalling the start of the build season! All 32 team members showed up and watched the livestream of the new game, read the game manual, and developed strategies for the robot. We’re so excited for build season!
Last weekend, Team Neutrino volunteered for the FLL Scrimmage and Webster City FLL Regional! At the FLL Scrimmage, Team Neutrino and Team Photon gave FLL teams in Ames the opportunity to present their innovation projects, receive feedback, and run through robot matches against other teams before they competed in Webster City. Following the FLL Scrimmage, the AMS FLL teams competed at the Webster City FLL Regional! Some awards won by the teams include:
The Purple Puffin Puppies
Won the Breakthrough Award
Advanced to State
Won the Coach/Mentor award (Congrats, Coach Tracy!!)
Thanks to everyone who watched and supported us at CowTown this year, whether it be on the livestream or in the bleachers! We had a great competion, being apart of Alliance 2 and making it all the way to the semifinals. Thanks to FRC Team #1730, Team Driven, from Lee’s Summit High School, for hosting the event. We can’t wait for the season kickoff!
Team Neutrino will be heading to Lee’s Summit, Missouri from Friday, October 28 util Saturday, October 29 for the annual CowTown ThrowDown competition! We will be using Scorpius for our final off-season FRC event of the Charged Up 2023 Season! You can find more detailed information at: https://www.cttd-robotics.com/.

This Sunday, Team Neutrino participated in the 2023 Iowa State Fair! We helped volunteer for Blue Origin, an aerospace manufacturer with the goal of having people living and working in space, and reached out to over 480 people. We also volunteered at the FRC stand and demonstrated our robot Scorpius, reaching out to more than 100 people. We had a great time at the state fair and look forward to next year’s fair!
